* FIRST BITS OF SNOW
as the temperature dropped to 30F everywhere including my apartment, im reminded of the long cold way ahead. One thing I am looking forward this year is to skiing, and buying the appropriate (and cute) gear of course, i wont be freezing in the green slope this season, no way.
this is L'Officiel Paris 2010.

• MAGIC SOFA
isn't it annoying when those little coins slip trough the sofa cushions? what about when we cant find our keys, our wallet or our phone? maybe they have gone trough the black holes of our apartment...or maybe they've gone "lost in sofa" as in the intent of young Japanese architect Daisuke Motogi, who's comfy sofa chair its made to loose all your personals and much much more... make sure to visit his site and check out his beautiful uncomfortable sleepy futon in a shape of a huge blanket.

• MINI MANIA
If i only knew how to drive, i would get a blue Messerschmitt bubble car, the granpa of the miniature car.
Or if i lived in the 50's i'd happily be the girl on this add...The mini came out as a response to what the Brit considered "bloody awful", unsafe and not properly design economy vehicles, in a time when the cost of petroleum was high and the consumption limited.
why cant usa go back to this principal? why don't them car manufactures build beautiful and chic designed automobiles? everywhere i look on the road are ugly huge cars which look all just the same...

• SATAN'S BRIDE
This Halloween I will dress up as Neckface's Satan's Bride...if i only knew how she looks like... i imagine she has to wear black patent shinny pants.
Neckface is an anonymous street artist from California known for his scratchy medieval and scary drawing mixed with naive and humorous writings. I've been photographing his posts for a few years, here below is "Neckface Begins" must impressive. we spotted him in 2005 while driving trough the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway... how did you get up there dude!

• LUCY MCRAE
Lucy McRae is an Australian artist who invents and builds structures on the skin that re-shapes the human silhouette. Her provocative and often grotesquely beautiful imagery suggests a future human archetype existing in an alternate world.

followed by a young, strong, lucky and ambitious Djokovic...and last but not least many wonderful Feder memories....with out a doubt, this year has been the must exiting us open finale.

• FLOWER POWER
Calendula is a super powerful flower which i use on a daily basis in a form of cream and drinkable drops for all its healing properties. Also known as Pot Marigold this plant has been used as a folk remedy for centuries.
The use of the extracts to stimulate the activity of cells that synthesize collagen and promote wound healing as well as its astringent action are probably the strongest benefits. Useful for many types of skin inflammation, whether caused by infection or injury there are several product options out there such as creams, poultices, compresses and lotions to be used externally, or internally as tinctures and teas.
Calendula blooms from spring through fall and it is very easy to grow. The petals of its flowers are eatable and have a sightly spicy flavor making it a nice addition to fresh salads.

• THE WEEDS
recently i got the chance to watch this documentary The Union: The Business Behind Getting High, its an easy find on netflix since Its theatrical run was limited to film festivals. Amongst the many good points is the comparing of cannabis persecution with the prohibition of alcohol in the US during the 1920s, the filmmaker points out how gang drug warfare and other negative aspects associated with marijuana are a result of prohibition, not the sweet jane itself... ...interesting...
there are also several interviews with growers, police officers, criminologists, economists, very interesting health myths and benefit facts from doctors, politicians and pop culture icons.

• MONKEY BIZNES
my favorite image out of the sort of futuristic work of Sarah Apple Baum...but its hard to decide what to like must since she incorporates found materials like crocheted blankets and transforms them into geometric landscapes and installations... i like!
